We're on the other side of Thanksgiving, the masses are punching each other over Black Friday deals, football's on the television (please don't talk to me about LaFleur's highway robbery and bullshit little wink, I've already crashed out twice), and

It's that time of year when any member of a voting body scrambles to fit in everything we missed during the regular season. (Unless you're able to keep up with everything, at which point I'd like to know what it's like to be god's favorite child?)

Evil men are dying, The Mummy is coming back with Brendan Frasier and Rachel Weisz, my newly installed security system is incessantly beeping and I am slowing losing myself to insanity... a lot is happening!

Being tired doesn't mean that you're letting the bad guys win or that you're giving up. Just means that you're acknowledging that you need a rest. Rest and joy are, in fact, critical to resistance after all.

At first, I attributed the post-NYCC ConDrop to the fact that it was a quick turn-around show for me. After some reflection, though, I realized it was less because I wasn't tired (because I assure you I was absolutely exhausted), but because I had felt more creatively fulfilled than I had in years.
