Evil men are dying, The Mummy is coming back with Brendan Frasier and Rachel Weisz, my newly installed security system is incessantly beeping and I am slowing losing myself to insanity... a lot is happening!

Being tired doesn't mean that you're letting the bad guys win or that you're giving up. Just means that you're acknowledging that you need a rest. Rest and joy are, in fact, critical to resistance after all.

At first, I attributed the post-NYCC ConDrop to the fact that it was a quick turn-around show for me. After some reflection, though, I realized it was less because I wasn't tired (because I assure you I was absolutely exhausted), but because I had felt more creatively fulfilled than I had in years.

The fun thing about being unemployed (or I guess underemployed, since I'm freelancing where I can) is that there's always something to do and you literally never feel like you're doing enough.

But hey, I tried, and I'm choosing to believe that's what matters for the time being. I've got that or panic, and for now I'm choosing the former.
