SCREAM 7 Review: A Maximalist Nightmare Scream 7 is a cynical, maximalist nightmare that sullies one of the most dependable horror franchises in history. Sid, Gale, The Core 4, the fans, and especially Melissa Barrera deserved better.
No Resolutions, Only Resolve Today marks six months of unemployment. Half a year without steady income; half a year on unemployment that only just covers my rent in this insanely expensive city; half a year chasing old contacts and discovering most of them, like myself, no longer have jobs; half a year scraping together
We Stop This Or It Gets Worse Today, I offer no pop culture updates or lists. I come to you with a plea.
Top 10 Movies of 2025 If I had a week, I still wouldn't have enough time to list all of the ways that 2025 was terrible. You know what wasn't bad, though? Movies.
Steve Rogers Will Return... But Should He? Listen. My dog's name is (Steve) Rogers. Still, I have mixed feelings about Steve returning to the fray.
The Disney OpenAI Deal Is Worse Than You Think Story updated to include WGA's official statement on the deal. You can read The Animation Guild's full statement on bsky. Media Consolidation, Tech 'Disruptors', and Winter Catch-Up, Oh My! It's All Happening (No Really, All At Once) Evil men are dying, The Mummy is coming back with Brendan Frasier and Rachel Weisz, my newly installed security system is incessantly beeping and I am slowing losing myself to insanity... a lot is happening!
Hug Your Friends and Let Yourself Be Tired Being tired doesn't mean that you're letting the bad guys win or that you're giving up. Just means that you're acknowledging that you need a rest. Rest and joy are, in fact, critical to resistance after all.
The NYCC Dispatch, or, The Art of Creative Fulfillment At first, I attributed the post-NYCC ConDrop to the fact that it was a quick turn-around show for me.
